Mickey's house

Last weekend we went to Disneyland for the day. It was Denton's first visit (if you don't count the time he was in my tummy) and Riley's 3rd (she doesn't remember the other times as she was much younger). Denton had a blast and loved everything. Riley was scared of the rides you would think she wouldn't be (Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Pinocchio) but she loved the Haunted Mansion, go figure. Denton loved the carousel and would have stayed on it all day if we let him. They of course both loved Dumbo. Riley's favorite part of the day was when she got to meet Rapunzel. We waited in line for 45 minutes to meet her and when it was our turn she got shy and didn't want to take a picture with her. We literally shoved her into Rapunzel's arms and she got some great pics with her and Rapunzel was so sweet to her, talking to her and making her feel better. Now Riley is so thankful that we got the pictures with her, she even took the pics to school to show her friends. We had a great time, but were so exhausted by the end of the day.

Halloween Time

Halloween has already come and gone! I can't believe it went by so fast. This year Riley dressed up as the Tooth Fairy and Denton was a skeleton. We had a blast going around the neighborhood with a big group of neighborhood kids. We had wagons and strollers full of kids going from door to door. The kids ended up with soooo much candy, I had to take some of it to the office (shhh don't tell them that) and there is still a TON left at home. Enjoy the pics of the kids and their friends.

New Mexico Visit

This past week we made our yearly visit out to New Mexico to see Dan's family. Riley and Denton love playing with their cousins and we love getting to see family that we don't get to see very often. We spent our time mostly just hanging out and visiting, but we did get to go to cousin Nevaeh's soccer game and also to a birthday party for a family friend (sadly I forgot to take pictures at the party, but it was a really fun time). The kids got along great and we had a fantastic time.

We're still here!!!

Sorry we have been MIA from the blog. It has been such a busy summer. It was filled with weddings, weddings and more weddings; days spent at the pool; Bar-B-Ques with friends; picnics; trips to Sea World and Padres games and just weekends spent running around! We are very sad to see it come to an end but are looking forward to a fabulous fall and winter. Take a look at some of our pictures from the summer!

The Goars go camping

This past weekend we went camping with a group of friends. We went to Vail Lake Resort in Temecula. It is this huge resort with three pools, waterslides, horseback riding, mini golf, fishing etc. etc.

I wasn't really sure what to expect camping with a toddler but we ended up having the best time! We played at the campsite, went on walks, swam at the pool and the guys went fishing (once with the kids and once on their own). At night they had a concert at their little village and we went to that for a bit. The kids had a blast dancing but after a long day in the sun we were all a bit tired so we headed back to camp for some smores and hot chocolate.

Denton was such a great little camper. He never complained once, he just went with the flow. He slept perfectly all night long in the tent (in his pack and play) and even slept in longer than Riley. We only spent one night there, while some of the group stayed another night (we learned our lesson and definitely won't be setting up and tearing down for only one night of camping again).

We had a blast and can't wait to do it again next year!
