Zucchini noodles - all the "pasta" feel, none of the guilt!!

Last night I finally tried zucchini noodles in our dinner. I love when hubby makes his homemade pasta sauce but I hate the full feeling from all those carbs/starches.

So I made zucchini noodles for us adults and regular noodles for the kiddos.

I actually enjoyed it. I was able to have the yummy pasta sauce without all the guilt associated with eating regular noodles.

Take 1 to 2 zucchini (ours were fresh from our garden - bonus!!) and cut the ends off. Lay a box cheese grater on its side, sharp edges pointed up. Slide the zucchini along the cheese grater to create long ribbons. Heat some olive oil and garlic on the skillet and toss the noodles around until soft.

Add to your favorite pasta sauce and enjoy!!

100% natural and organic homemade "ice cream"

Yesterday I made the most delicious yet healthy treat for my family. It was perfect on a hot day and so refreshing.

Take 1.5 frozen bananas and 6-8 frozen strawberries, throw them in the food processor for a few minutes until creamy. Taking the time to get it to creamy is important because that is what gives it the ice cream like texture.

This made 3 small bowls. Up the ingredients if you want larger quantities.

It was amazing and I felt good knowing it was healthy for my kids and the best part is that it is 21 Day Fix approved!!! Just have to sacrifice a few purples.

21 Day Fix - Day 1

Hey everyone! F2 Fierce Fitness here!
I have been wanting to do the 21 Day Fix forever. I wanted to finish P90X3 first though. I finished that and took a much needed 2 week break. Now I am ready to get after it!!

I did a quick video breaking down day 1. Check it out!

http://youtu.be/9JpBhB1xcWs

Here is a breakdown of my daily use of my containers. It takes a little bit of time but it is pretty easy.

Breakfast  Shakeology: 1 red, 1/2 blue almonds, 2 tsp almond butter, 1/2 purple banana.

Snack: 1 yellow quinoa, 1/2 purple strawberries

Lunch: 1 green spinach. 1 green bell pepper, 1 red chicken, 1/2 blue feta, orange dressing

Snack: 1 red yogurt, 1/2 purple blueberries

Dinner: steak 1 red, zucchini 1 green,  Brown rice 1 yellow.

All in all it is a simple process to follow. You just have to take the time to plan it out. I feel great, have energy and feel lighter.

At the end of day 1 we grilled up a bunch of chicken to have on hand to make meal prep a little easier. I also premade the 21 day fix salad dressing. And pre cooked quinoa and brown rice. I plan to chop up fruit and veggies when I get some time too.

Healthy, nutritious AND yummy dessert? Yes please!!!

Ok guys,

I just made these and they are ridiculous!  So yummy, I like them cold!  And they are full of all of the vitamins and nutrition you get from Shakeology, but in a dessert!  Best of both worlds!!

To make:

1. Combine Shakeology, oats, peanuts, and raisins in a large mixing bowl and mix well.
2. Add almond milk and peanut butter; mix well.
3. Press mixture into 8x8 inch baking pan; cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours
4. Sprinkle with peanuts if you're fancy.
5. Cut in 24 bars and enjoy (just not all 24 at once).

To your health!
